Today was an absolutely gorgeous day in the 80's, so what is a family to do with such weather? Go to the beach of course! Well, the beach off of a lake anyway. :) We thought for sure we were going to get rained out with the storm that was blowing in, but we were able to stay about an hour and a half without a single drop. Just lots of thunder and a little bit of wind. We made sand castles, threw rocks in the water, flew a kite, lost a bowl in the lake, and dipped our toes in freezing lake water. Lots and lots of fun with pictures to tell!
Playing in the sand.
The boys throwing big rocks into the water.
Daddy's sand "heart."
Megan testing the waters.
Eh. It's a lot warmer on land.
Mommy dipping her feet into the freezing water.
Daddy's "sand volcano."
Mommy's sand castle (with a nice courtyard), I think the kids liked it best because it was the last one they destroyed. :)
The thunderstorm that was fast approaching.
Megan and Daddy on the long walk back to the car. Super fun day. :)
