Family reunions
Family Trip
Hi all. We stayed at my cousin Sara's house in Knoxville Friday night and flew to Las Vegas Saturday morning. Then we rented a car and drove to see Grandma and Grandpa Heaton in Colorado City. That night, Shelly and her mom went out to Sharice's baby shower. Tonight, we are enjoying a visit from Jake and Nicole's bunch and Jon and Janice with their little Kaylee. Many pictures included.
It was a long trip, but the kids did really well. Jeffrey is kind of not feeling well, but hopefully he'll bounce back. Ben couldn't be happier running around after his Grandpa. It has already been worth the trip to see all the fun they are having.
I'm very grateful to be out of school and over my horrible stomach bug. Sorry Mom, but I only weighed 137 lbs on Friday (with clothes and shoes on!). I need to put some weight back on.
I can't believe how much got thrown at me this past month, right at the end when I was trying to study for finals. I started making a list of it all, including the two people I helped move, the trip to the ER with Ben for his croup attack, the two weeks in a row of being up with sick kids and being sick myself all night, etc. But despite the trials, we have made it through. I know that the Lord continues to bless us. Right now, I feel like we are enjoying a few moments of well-earned relaxation.
Will continue to update on the trip.
Love, Brian.

Another Monday Night at the Nyberg's
We had a fun night tonight. Brian took the boys for a walk while I watched the rest of one of my Netflix movies. After the walk, we had the missionaries over for some left over cake (missionaries are the best to pawn cake off on!). They helped us with a family home evening lesson about missionary work. Ben insisted that we have the lesson on the floor. Last but not least, Jeffrey found his rhythm! (as shown in the video) Things are progressing in the basement, the framing is completely finished, we have a bathtub down there and the electric work will hopefully be done before we leave for our trip, yay! Pictures of it will be soon to come.

JEFFREY TURNS 1!!!!!!
It's official, my baby is no longer a baby. Poor Jeffrey was so miserable and sick on his birthday that we decided to celebrate it Saturday instead of Tuesday. Evidently he spent a lot of the day in his high chair (either that or I never have a free hand to hold the camera unless he's strapped down!). We went and got hair cuts for Brian and Jeffrey (Ben refused to get one this time) and made a cake that our neighbors helped us eat. Here are some pictures from Jeffrey's big day, enjoy!

Heart Beat!
I had my first OB appointment today and get to hear baby number three's cute little heart beat on the Doppler! It was very cute and I can't wait to see this little stinker that made me so sick!! Hopefully we will find out the gender in a little over two weeks when we head out to Utah/Arizona. We can't wait to see everyone out there.

Yes, it's true....

Okay, so this post is pretty much self explanatory. Since everyone else in my family seems to think this is an acceptable way to get "the news" out, we just thought we'd hop on that train too. Baby is due some time in November before Thanksgiving, we're not 100% sure about my dates. My first doctor's appointment will be soon, hopefully we'll know more then.

PICTURE UPDATES
Okay, so we've had a lot going on lately, March has been a pretty crazy month for us. We had a trip to Columbia, South Carolina with our friends the Robertsons to go to the temple, we had an Easter Egg hunt at the church, Brian and I went to a Carrie Underwood concert last Friday, I through a Baby Shower for our friend Karen Parker, I put together our Easter Program with our ward choir and some help from other members of our ward (I even played the flute for it!), and Jon and Janice just had their baby (congratulations!). Okay, so maybe we didn't have to do much with Janice having her baby, but that's still news. :) So here are some pictures from our crazy month of March (I don't think they call it "March Madness" just for college basketball!).

New Years Wedding

I was privileged enough to be the "matron" of honor at the wedding of Trent and Karen Parker on New Years Eve. Brian and I sang "God Blessed the Broken Road" for it too. We had a really great time and Karen was kind enough to share these pictures from it with me, and so I pass them along to you. Just a side note, Ben decided that he needed to take a drink out of EVERY ONE'S glasses when the new year hit, and this includes Trent's dad of whom he had only met that day. Too funny. -Shelly-

Family Picture Time!
It's been quite some time since we updated our blog. It is mostly because Brian dropped our digital camera while dancing the night away at the "Cadaver Ball" in October. We had our first "official" family photo taken today at Sears and thought we'd share with everyone. It was quite the experience! We almost left without getting an individual picture of Benjamin because he decided to throw a neary two year old boy tantrum, but mommy saved the day by making him laugh enough to sit on the rocking horse. Well worth it! We miss everyone and hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

What we've been up to since our trip
Hi Family,
We have been very busy since we came back from visiting with many of you "out West". But we needed to get these pictures out there so that you have a chance to get prints if you'd like. Please know that we love you and think of you all the time. A special thanks to all of you who let us stay with you while we were out there. Enjoy the pictures. Both Shelly and I are on the verge of starting school again. I start my medical school orientation tomorrow and have my first official day of class July 30th. Shelly starts at East Tennessee State University in August. We are obvioiusly going to be very busy, but will continue to do our best updating you and at least sharing our two little boys with you. Again, we love and miss you.
Sincerely, Brian.
