Pirate Party I

Last night we babysat for our medical school friends, Stuart Winkler and Erin Loggins (soon to be Winkler; congrats!). Their son Noah is 5 years old and Ben and Jeffrey had a GREAT time following him around the house. They were all dressed in pirate garb, complete with swords, hats and eye patches. Then Shelly got the idea for me to draw them a treasure map. They were so excited to follow the map that she printed out little pictures of things from the map like "The Palm Tree Forest", "The Scary Cave", "Dead Man's Cove", "The Sunken Ship", and "Buried Treasure" with X marking the spot. We scattered them all over the house and the boys followed the map on their pirate adventure, finishing up at the bottom of the stairs that lead into our basement where the treausre was "buried". They had so much fun, they did it over and over again. Even today, Ben is still tracing his steps to find the treasure with Jeffrey bringing up the lead. Here are some photos from their swashbuckling journey. I'll give you one guess what these boys will be going as for Halloween this year...

Stuart and Erin Ben shows off his pirate outfit while Mommy gets Megan into her monkey costume.

Megan is a cute little monkey.

Aww... That's great! Noah asked about Ben yesterday, partially because he misses him, and partially to make sure that he's still bigger. Boys are funny :) Talk you yall soon , I hope!
